Today is the last day of my traveling for a few months. Tomorrow I fly to San Francisco where I will work hard on www.fivepointfive.org, live poker and of course Sober Paddy. When walking through the local town after breakfast, I was yabbering manically as the caffeine from my double espresso sifted trough my system. Second chances was my topic. Do you get them in life?

New Years Message
Happy New Year good people!
I was trying to review my year for each month, but it is too hard to cram everything into one blog. The last year has been sensational. Finished working for the man and now in Mexico after travelling overland through Venezuela, Colombia, most of Central America and Cuba. I have met some great people doing amazing things and I am really excited about what will happen in 2013.
Seasons Greetings from the Sober Paddy
I have been staying away from Sober Paddy for the last few weeks. My sobriety is good. In fact I will be sober for almost 3 years officially this Christmas. The blog has been going for the same amount of time and I have to say that starting this blog changed my life. If it were not for my public accountability I am sure I would have fallen off the wagon. If you were ever thinking about changing your life and going public, check out this great course starting at the end of January.
How to smoke a cigar – The Sober Paddy in Cuba
I have been in Cuba for the last month or so and have developed a quare taste for the ould cigars. There is nothing that can compare to smoking the live ones in the flesh, but I thought I’d bring you a snippet of what life has been like for me. The hat I got …
30 things which indicate you may have a drink or drug problem
1. You go for 4 years straight without more than a 2 day break from drinking or doing drugs
2. You drunkenly fall onto a pint glass which breaks three inches deep into your back missing your spine and kidneys by millimeters
3. You drink drive for 5 months with no helmet on a moped around the most dangerous island in Greece
4. You try to take on 8 guys who have just glassed you and stabbed you in the neck outside a pub in Dublin before running for your life
Sober Paddy Interview on Phantom FM
Along with the recent burst of activity in the world of newspapers, I was also contacted by the lovely Alison Curtis from Phantom FM and did an interview with her last week. The following is the recording. I have to say I love telling my story now, although I was a little bit worried when I recently got in touch with my mother after all the publicity about my drink and drug binging.
Me – Well Mam, I hope you weren’t too upset or shocked about what I came out with in the papers and on the radio.
